Visit websiteMacquarie University Sport and Aquatic Centre is partnering with Swim Australia to promote the Swim it Forward initiative in 2025.
Swim Australia research shows 41% of Australian children aren't enrolled in swimming lessons. Parents often cite concerns about age and cost. Learning to swim is crucial for children's safety around water. We believe swimming is a lifesaving skill every child should have, regardless of income or ability. Our goal is to help more children gain this vital education.
SWIM It Forward aims to remove financial barriers, enrolling disadvantaged families in local swim schools. Each child we place in a program reduces drowning risks and builds confidence in the water.
With your support, we can significantly increase the number of children learning to swim and prevent drownings.
