Western Clydesdales Community Foundation

The Western Clydesdales proudly represent Toowoomba and the wider South-West Queensland region in Queensland Rugby League’s statewide competitions, fielding six representative teams: Under 17 Boys, Under 17 Girls, Under 19 Boys, Under 19 Girls, Open Women and Open Men.

But our purpose goes well beyond the scoreboard.

We are a club with a voice that carries across regional Queensland and we are committed to using that voice to create lasting social impact — supporting the development, wellbeing and aspirations of young people in our communities. We run development programs and academies that provide opportunities for those young men and women who have a dream, who have an aspiration.

Guided by our Strategic Plan, our vision is to bring rugby league dreams closer for young men and women across the South-West. Our mission is to develop not just quality players but outstanding people and to do so with pride, resilience and HEART.

Foundation Focus Areas

Through the Western Clydesdales Community Foundation, we aim to deliver projects that align with three core pillars — each focused on making rugby league accessible, inclusive, and impactful across South-West Queensland.

🟡 Creating Clydesdales – South-West QLD Junior Pathways

Developing a sustainable and inspiring pathway for junior players aged 13 to 19 across regional Queensland. Your support helps us fund coaching, equipment, representative programs and travel for development programs such as RISE and the Clydesdales Academy.

🟢 Our Community – Inclusion, Participation and Wellbeing

Delivering rugby league programs that support mental health, social inclusion, Indigenous engagement and community outreach. These initiatives extend our impact beyond the field, supporting young people through schools, clubs and community groups.

🔵 Our People – Female Rugby League Development

Creating meaningful opportunities for women and girls in rugby league by funding player development, coaching education and female-specific pathways. We’re committed to building a game where everyone belongs and thrives.
