Key Changes on the New ASF Platform
Key Changes on the New ASF Platform
April 22, 2025
With the launch of the new ASF Fundraising Platform, we’re introducing important changes to streamline processes, improve security, and enhance your fundraising experience. Below are the key updates fundraisers should be aware of as we transition to the new platform.
1. A new ASF Group Grant Agreement
No GST on ASF grants
Organisations registered for GST will no longer have GST added to their ASF or ASFCF grant payments.
Simplified reporting
Financial acquittals are being replaced with impact reporting.
Download RCTIs now
If you need past grant payment records, download them from the current platform, as they may not be available in the new system until early FY26.
Reduced admin
ASF acknowledgement requirements have been significantly reduced.
2. Updated Policies for Fundraisers
New Terms & Conditions (T&Cs)
All fundraiser contacts must accept the updated T&Cs before using the platform. These clarify responsibilities and platform usage in simpler language.
Changes to manual/offline donations
- ASF will no longer accept manual credit card donations for security reasons.
- Manual donation forms will not be auto generated for each campaign.
- Manual donations can still be made via EFT or cheque using a generic ASF manual donation form, available on request from our Support Team.
3. Fundraising Data & Draft Campaigns
Dashboard data migration delay
Some summary data may take time to appear in the new system.
Save important records
If you regularly refer to dashboard data, take a screenshot before migration.
Draft campaigns will not be moved
If you have unfinished drafts, submit them for approval before migration. Any incomplete drafts will need to be recreated in the new platform.
4. Account Security & Contact Management
New identity verification
Fundraiser administrators must verify their identity for security reasons.
Required for grant payments
At least one admin per club/organisation must complete verification to receive grant funds.
Restricted bank access
Only certified administrators can view and update bank details.
Improved contact management
Fundraisers can now add and remove users without ASF support, making it easier to manage account access.
Minimum contact requirement
Clubs and organisations must have at least two fundraiser contacts listed on their account to remain compliant and eligible for grant payments.
5. 'Projects' Are Now Called 'Campaigns'
Terminology update
The way campaigns operate remains the same, it's just a name change!
