The Australian Sports Foundation (ASF) is proud to announce three-time Olympian Peter Bol as its newest ambassador.

Known for his remarkable journey from war-torn Sudan to wearing green and gold at the Olympics, Peter continues to inspire Australians both on and off the track. Through his foundation, Beyond Bol, he is using the ASF’s fundraising platform to raise vital funds to support young African Australians and underrepresented communities to thrive through sport.

The Beyond Bol Foundation was established to create opportunities for young people to reach their potential, not only as athletes but as future leaders and role models within their communities. Its focus is on building confidence, resilience and connection, with the ultimate goal of helping participants grow on and off the field.

“Peter’s story represents everything the ASF stands for. Perseverance, purpose and the power of sport to change lives,” said Ryan Holloway, Interim CEO of the Australian Sports Foundation. 

“He has shown what’s possible when talent is supported and opportunities are shared. We’re honoured to have him join our ambassador team and continue inspiring the next generation of Australians through sport.”

For Peter, this new chapter is about supporting the community that has backed him throughout his career.

“I’ve been incredibly fortunate to represent Australia, but I wouldn’t be here without the people who helped me along the way,” said Peter Bol. “Working with the ASF is a chance to give back to the system that supported me. Together we can help more Australians stay in sport and keep chasing their dreams.”

Through sport, Peter is focused on helping the next generation find their place and potential.

“The Beyond Bol Foundation is about creating those same opportunities for others, helping young athletes find confidence, community and belief in themselves. Every donation made on the ASF platform directly supports that mission.”

A three-time Olympian and 800-metre national record holder, Peter continues to compete at the highest level while preparing for a potential fourth Olympic appearance at the Los Angeles 2028 Games. Off the track, his focus remains on family, community, and mentoring the next generation.

Through his ambassadorial role, Peter will champion the importance of funding in Australian sport, sharing his story and raising awareness of how tax-deductible donations help athletes and clubs thrive nationwide.
