About the Report

In FY25, more than 84,600 donors contributed a record $118.8M through the Australian Sports Foundation, highlighting the growing role of philanthropy in supporting Australian sport.

As part of Australia’s broader sport ecosystem, donors are playing an increasingly important role alongside government, sporting organisations and communities to help strengthen the long-term sustainability of sport.

Through the Australian Sports Foundation, donors of all sizes are helping fund initiatives that expand access, support wellbeing, strengthen inclusion and create more opportunities for Australians to participate and connect through sport.

This year’s report highlights the continued shift toward more intentional, impact-led giving, with growing investment in initiatives that deliver meaningful outcomes for clubs, athletes and communities across Australia.

With Brisbane 2032 on the horizon, there is a significant opportunity to further grow the culture of giving to sport and unlock even greater impact across the sport ecosystem.
