Hi, I’m Bella Canning, a 16-year-old Rugby Union athlete with a big dream to represent Australia and play on the world stage. Ever since I first stepped on to the field, rugby has helped me to grow not only as an athlete, but as a person. 

Currently in 2025 I have been selected to represent Northern School Sport for Rugby 7’s, where I will play in the QRSS State Championships. On top of this I am apart of two exciting opportunities with the Nations United team, an international rugby tour to Japan and the chance to again compete at the Brisbane Pacific Youth Tournament. This years season has only just begun and I have many more trial chances ahead.

These opportunities are not only a stepping stone in my development to my dream, but will give me a chance to compete both regionally and internationally, enabling me to build connections, learn from incredible coaches, and showcase my skills both in Australia and overseas, helping me to become a stronger athlete and a more developed individual. 

I am fundraising to help cover the costs which enable me to compete and play across many competitions, these funds will go towards costs such as flights, accommodation, competitions fees, and playing kit. 

Any donation, big or small, will go a long way in supporting my journey and helping me take the next step in my development as an athlete.
