    ABOUT Benjamin Baitch

    Kellyville, NSW

Benjamin has recently been selected by Baseball Australia to represent the country in the U15 National Team at the upcoming 2025 WBSC Oceania Championships in Guam.

This is a massive achievement for Benj, recognising the commitment he has put into his training and personal development over the past few years.

His selection came following a nomination from Baseball NSW to Baseball Australia, after they recognised his growth through the Developing Pathways Program and the U16 Australian Youth Championship trials. Having only just turned 14, he made it to the final rounds of selection for the U16 NSW team – competing against players up to 18 months older – which Baseball NSW made a point of highlighting.

The tournament is a World Cup Qualifier, with the winning team progressing to next year’s WBSC Baseball World Cup in Italy.

Unfortunately, like many less-publicised and underfunded sports, this event is completely unfunded by Baseball Australia.

The Australian Sports Foundation has approved this project to help raise the funds needed for Benji’s participation. Donations will go directly towards his travel, accommodation, and uniform costs for the Guam tournament, with all contributions through ASF being tax-deductible.

Your support will help make this dream a reality and allow Benji to proudly represent Australia on the world stage.
