    ABOUT Cruize Chase

I first discovered my love for baseball in 2021 after watching a game between the Melbourne Aces and Auckland Tuatara in the Australian Baseball League. From that moment on, I was hooked.

I joined the Newport Rams Baseball Club, where my passion for the game really took off. With the incredible support of my family, dedicated volunteer coaches, and the broader club community, my skills began to grow. In just my second season, I was honored to receive the MVP award as well as the prestigious Stan McKay Award for Best Junior League Player in 2022/2023.

I'm now continuing to develop as a player through the Futures Development Program run by Baseball Victoria. I also attend Maribyrnong Sports Academy, where I’m part of the baseball program.

This year, I was selected to represent the Mets Charter Junior League team. In April, we competed in the Victorian Championships and qualified for the National Championships, which will be held in Lismore, NSW, from May 28 to June 1, 2025.

My journey so far hasn't come without challenges. In 2023, I underwent knee surgery to repair a torn meniscus, which meant months of recovery. More recently, I fractured my wrist sliding into home base in January 2025. But I’ve come back stronger, fitter, and more determined than ever.

Now, I’m pumped for the opportunity to represent my family, Newport Rams, the Mets & Victoria at the national level. The winner of this tournament has an opportunity to travel Internationally to the Junior League World Series in Michigan, US August 2025.

Travelling to Lismore with the team is an amazing opportunity — but it comes with significant costs. I’m hoping for your support to help get me there. Every bit helps!
