Hi my name is Harriette O’Dwyer and I am a year 12 student based in Brisbane. I am incredibly proud and honoured to share that I have been selected to represent Australia in the U19 team at the International Rowing Challenge in Michigan in July.  

I currently cox for Toowong Rowing Club and Sydney University Boat Club and have also had the opportunity to cox for a number of other clubs at regattas around the country. I have competed at both state and national levels, including representing Queensland in the Women’s Youth VIII, where we achieved a silver medal in 2026.

Wearing the green and gold and representing Australia internationally is something I have always dreamed of, and it is incredibly special to now have that opportunity become a reality. 

Over the past twelve months, I have been fortunate to work with and lead high-performing crews along the east coast. This has involved extensive travel, training and competition commitments, alongside maintaining a strong focus on my studies. While this journey has required discipline and sacrifice, every step has been worthwhile in pursuing something I am deeply passionate about.

Representing Australia at the International Rowing Challenge is an extraordinary opportunity, and one I am determined to make the most of. As you would appreciate, competing internationally comes with significant costs. I am currently aiming to raise $8,500 to cover essentials including the Sydney training camp, flights, accommodation, seat fees, travel insurance and team uniforms.
