ABOUT Havana Henderson
If you know Havana she lives and breaths Volleyball, although she only began her journey 2 years ago she has done a lot in that time!
It all started when she wanted to go to her current high school but knew we were out of catchment so she thought to trial for the school volleyball program. She trialled and made the program.
In her first year of high school she made the top team for her year and played in both the JVSC ( Junior Volleyball Schools Cup) and done so well her team were fortunate to make the AVSC ( Australian Volleyball Schools Cup) in which they placed in the top 5
Year 8 - her school team made it into the honours division which is the highest rank for your year ( only select schools reach this) Havana trialled for the QLD volleyball team and out of 70 odd girls she was selected into the top team travelling to Perth where her team took out the silver medal! They once returned her school team played in the JVSC and placed 2nd in QLD her team then went on to win the AVSC taking out the gold Medal
Which leads me to year 9
already she has represented QLD for beach volleyball where her team took out 4th place over Australia and she has been selected to play for the regional school team representing Sunshine Coast.
Havana has now been selected in the National Performance Program (NPP)
Which she will travel down to Adelaide in July and participate in this camp and play games. This camp is for athletes in the U16 Squad (2011/12
born) and will serve as a competition style camp in preparation for the U16 Asian Volleyball Championship in 2027.
Havana has also made the under 15 QLD indoor training squad where she is trialling to get a spot on the travelling team who will travel to Perth in September.
Your donations mean a great deal to Havana and she appreciates everything.
These donations are helping her reach her goals :)
