Please Help Me Chase My Baseball Dream
Hi, I'm Louise, I'm 14 years old, and I absolutely love baseball.
I've been playing baseball for more than five years, and it has become a huge part of my life. The sport has given me incredible friendships, unforgettable experiences, and countless opportunities to grow both on and off the field. From travelling to tournaments to spending weekends with my teammates, I've made memories that I'll treasure forever.
I currently play U15 Division 1 in a mixed team and in the Women's League for Knox Baseball Club. Both teams challenge me in different ways and help me continue learning and improving every day.
Over the past year, I had the honour of representing Victoria at the Barclay Cup Championships in South Australia. Competing against some of the best girls in Australia pushed me to raise my game and strengthened my determination to see how far I can go in baseball.
Women's baseball continues to grow, with more girls playing than ever before and more pathways opening up through college opportunities, national programs, and professional baseball. I'm proud to be part of that growth and to help show younger girls that they can achieve their dreams too.
When I'm not at training or playing games, you'll usually find me at the batting cages, practising in the backyard, throwing at the park, or working on my strength and fitness. I genuinely love putting in the extra work because baseball isn't just a sport I play—it's something I'm truly passionate about. Along the way, I've also developed confidence, teamwork, leadership, and resilience that help me in every part of life.
Baseball For All Girls Tournament
I am incredibly excited to have been selected to represent Team Legacy Sports Australia at the Baseball For All Girls Tournament in the United States from 18–28 July.
This tournament is the largest girls' baseball event in the world and will give me the opportunity to compete against talented players from around the globe. I'll also be mentored by former Major League Baseball players and current and former Australian Emeralds representatives.
The experience will allow me to train at elite facilities, gain valuable international competition experience, develop my skills, and build confidence that will benefit me both in baseball and in life.
How You Can Help
To make this amazing opportunity possible, I am aiming to raise $6000 to help cover the costs of:
- International flights
- Accommodation
- Tournament and program fees
- Uniforms and equipment
- Travel and associated expenses
Every donation, no matter the size, will help bring me one step closer to representing Australia on the international stage and continuing my baseball journey.
My mum and dad have always supported me in everything I do, and I'm incredibly grateful for their encouragement. However, opportunities like this come with significant costs, and any support would make a huge difference. Donations are tax deductible, which may provide benefits for individuals and businesses who choose to contribute.
I promise to make the most of every moment of this experience. I will work hard, represent my team with pride, and be grateful for the opportunity you've helped make possible.
Thank you so much for your support. Your generosity means the world to me and will help me take another step toward my dream of playing baseball at the highest level.
