My name is Nicole Geeves, and I proudly represent Tasmania in the Over 40’s Women’s Hockey Team. Hockey has been a constant in my life for many years, shaping who I am both on and off the field.

In 2025, I was fortunate to compete at the National Championships in Hobart, where our Tasmanian team achieved a proud bronze medal finish. That campaign was made even more special when I was selected for the Australian Over 40’s Women’s Hockey Team, earning the opportunity to represent my country at the World Cup in Rotterdam, The Netherlands, from 22 July to 2 August.

Having already been part of the Australian Over 40’s Women’s World Cup Gold Medal–winning team in 2024, this selection is another major highlight in my hockey journey. It is an opportunity I do not take lightly. To play once again in the green and gold — and to do so in the home of hockey — is the fulfilment of a long-term dream and a moment I will always treasure.

This journey has been built on years of dedication, perseverance, setbacks, challenges, teamwork, and continual learning. None of it would be possible without the encouragement and support of an incredible hockey and wider community around me. Wearing the green and gold is not only an honour and privilege — it is a commitment to everything that has gone into earning that opportunity.

To make this dream a reality, I am aiming to raise $10,000 to help cover the costs associated with competing at the World Cup. This campaign is entirely self-funded, and community support is vital in helping me represent Australia on the world stage.

·       Flights and transfers – $3,000+
