Hello there! My name is Patrick Hammond and I am 23 years old. I am raising money so I can compete in the Special Olympics National Games 2026. 

I started playing basketball when I was 6 years old and I have loved playing it ever since. My favourite thing about basketball is shooting hoops, scoring lots of points like Michael Jordan and winning lots of games. This year, I would love to compete in the Special Olympics National Games because I think I am a very good basketball player, I've been training hard, I practice every day in my backyard, and I'd love to say I am an Olympic champion. I also love gold medals. Basketball is a big part of my life and I really love it so much.

In July, I will be taking part in the Polar Plunge where I will jump into freezing cold water. I don't really love cold water, but I'll be "freezin' for a reason" as I'm hoping to raise some money that will go towards my registration fees so I can compete in the National Games.
