ABOUT Will Sharp
I have been swimming competitively since the age of 10 and have been a member of the Nunawading Swimming Club for close to ten years.
To support my swimming career, I have previously worked two part time jobs alongside my training, as a lifeguard for Glen Eira Council and as a Swimming Coach. I am extremely grateful for these opportunities, as they have supported me financially and allowed me to continue competing at a high level, the time and commitment has affected my performance.
Although I have not yet been selected for an Australian Senior Team, I am fully committed to this goal and have prioritised full-time training over work since finishing university. Currently, all aspects of my training, competition travel, and equipment are entirely self-funded.
In February 2026, I will be travelling to Dubai on a self-funded swimming trip to compete in my first international competition, so this opportunity represents a significant milestone in my swimming career. I will be travelling and competing with a team of fellow Victorian swimmers. This international competition in Dubai will provide invaluable experience, offering exposure to elite racing environments and the challenges of competing overseas, far from home. It will play an important role in my development as an athlete as I work toward my ultimate goal of representing Australia at a senior level.
All contributions are tax deductible and every contribution helps me pursue my goal as a developing Australian swimmer.
Thank you for taking the time to read my story and consider supporting my journey.
