The Australian Sports Foundation and Swysh are proud to announce the 29 grassroots sporting organisations receiving funding through the 2026 Swysh Future Stars Grant.

In total, the recipients will receive $115,438.68 worth of essential sporting equipment to support their clubs and programs.

This year's grant round has expanded its reach, supporting five more organisations than in 2025 and increasing total funding by $15,000.

The 2026 program attracted 359 applications, up from 280 last year, representing a 28.2% increase and demonstrating the strong demand for funding among volunteer-run sporting organisations supporting young people across Australia.

Supporting more grassroots organisations

The 29 successful organisations will receive essential sporting goods to support their clubs and programs, with each grant providing up to $5,000 worth of equipment.

The funding gives clubs and organisations the opportunity to invest in the equipment they need to deliver their programs and support participation among young people aged 20 and under.

Australian Sports Foundation CEO Jerril Rechter said:

“The significant growth in applications this year reflects the strong demand from community sporting organisations to create more opportunities for young people to participate.

“Through our partnership with Swysh, more than $115,000 will go directly towards the equipment these organisations need to support participation. It’s a great example of how partnerships can complement broader investment in community sport and help more young Australians experience the benefits of taking part.”

Turning fan experiences into support for grassroots sport

The Future Stars Grant is made possible through the ongoing partnership between ASF and Swysh.

Swysh connects fans with personalised video messages from sporting stars and personalities, with 10% of every Swysh personalised video purchased contributing directly to the Future Stars Grant.

This partnership turns memorable moments for sports fans into practical support for grassroots organisations, helping provide the equipment needed to deliver sport in communities across Australia.

Swysh CEO Michael Roth said:

“Swysh is all about bringing fans closer to the people they admire in sport, and we love that those moments can also give something back to the grassroots communities that make sport possible.

“Every Swysh video purchased contributes to the Future Stars Grant, so our customers are directly helping put new equipment into the hands of clubs and young athletes across Australia. To see the program grow again this year and support 29 organisations is something we’re incredibly proud of.”
